Midtown Farmers Market offers fresh,  fun & festive ways to celebrate in December

In addition to the “12 Days of Midtown” happening throughout the district from December 1 through 12, the Midtown Association (MA) is pleased to present a robust offering of fresh fruit, produce and locally-made gourmet items plus special holiday related activities on Saturdays in December at the popular and thriving Midtown Farmers Market. Proudly sponsored by Sutter Health, the Midtown Farmers Market offers up to 90 farmer, grower and vendor booths bursting with fresh fruit, produce, and gourmet or locally made goods each week.  As a highlight, a crowd-favorite activity is an entertaining cooking or tasting demonstration on the first Saturday of each month presented by a talented Midtown chef or business owner and is sponsored by University of the Pacific, Sacramento Campus. The year-round market takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (adjusted winter hours) on 20th between J and K Streets.*

Railroad Museum Foundation announces menu for VIP Cocktail Train Ride experiences

Showcasing the rich history and deep connection between agriculture and the railroad, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation and Harvego Restaurant Group are proud to announce the Farm-to-Fork menu that guests will enjoy on the two VIP Cocktail Train Ride experiences available on Saturday, September 23 & Sunday, September 24, 2017. Rabobank N.A. – a locally based bank serving California communities grounded in agriculture – is the presenting sponsor for the 2017 Farm-to-Fork Cocktail Train ride experiences that first debuted in 2015 when it was recognized as a finalist in Sunset Magazine’s Travel Awards competition in the “Best Train Experience” category.

Created and prepared by Jay Veregge, Director of Culinary Operations for Harvego Restaurant Group, and his talented culinary team, the Farm-to-Fork Cocktail Train menu is as follows:

Showcasing the rich history and deep connection between agriculture and the railroad, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation is proud to continue its partnership with Visit Sacramento as an official Farm-to-Fork sponsor and announce two VIP Cocktail Train Ride experiences will be available this year, one each evening, on Saturday, September 23 & Sunday, September 24, 2017. In addition, the Foundation is pleased to welcome Rabobank N.A. – a locally based bank serving California communities grounded in agriculture – as the presenting sponsor for the 2017 Farm-to-Fork Cocktail Train ride experiences.
